Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Emma is an online mass marketing media company whose focus is to provide ease of use and increased distribution, collection, and evaluation of data for its many clients. The company occupies two buildings in the historic Trolley Barns adjacent to downtown Nashville. Gilbert | McLaughlin | Casella Architects designed a flexible work environment which allows for individual tasks and encourages collaboration between the company's leadership and the individual departments. Numerous enclosed and open conference areas and a company bistro allow ideas, skills, and information to be easily shared among employees. Great care was taken to ensure that the implemented design will not alter the historic nature of the buildings. Integration of the company imagery and colors into the finish scheme will reinforce the 'branding' of the company while indirect lighting and fabric wrapped acoustical panels will work to provide a comfortable and quiet work environment.
