This commission includes a complete renovation and expansion of the football weight room in the McGugin Center at Vanderbilt University. The weight room was enlarged, the mechanical and electrical systems were upgraded, and the existing space was reinvigorated with new interior finishes and bold graphics designed in-house by Gilbert|McLaughlin|Casella Architects. The strong design of the new south fa'ade filters natural light into the existing space, provides a unique graphic opportunity for the football program, and creates a strong connection between the weight room and the adjacent exterior practice field.
