The Lane Motor Museum is an automobile showcase featuring the largest collection of antique European cars and motorcycles in the United States. This commission included the renovation of an existing factory space previously used as a bakery into a public gallery to house this collection of approximately 150 unique vehicles. The design for the museum included the complete renovation of the administrative area with a new lobby, research library, and 50-person meeting room, as well as a new gift shop and the renovation of the main factory workspace into a display gallery. Extensive renovation work was necessary to upgrade the mechanical and electrical systems and to address life safety and code issues in the space.
