PRIVATE ART MUSEUM
Planned within a 10-acre arboretum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, this private museum is intended to showcase the work of a single artist; an internationally recognized abstract painter and sculptor. The artist's work is informed by his interpretation of light through abstract shapes and colors, and the design for this building echoes that concept, with varying amounts of light filtering through different portions of the museum. Visitors will enter the exhibit below grade and progress through a series of slightly ramping galleries filled with wall-hanging artwork. These ramped spaces link together several taller 'chamber galleries,' showcasing sculptural pieces, and the museum will culminate at ground level with an arbor and garden pavilion.
